A New Book That I Actually Like!!!
We got some new books in last week to read and I gave up on tears at Bedtime! It just wasn’t for me. Our teacher got other books too that some of my classmates as well as me may enjoy. I found a book called A Certain Strain of Peculiar. This book is about a teenage girl who always has panic attacks, and always gets teased at school. She gets called “the grossest girl”. This thirteen year old girl wants to move back to a small town in Alabama called Wren where she has her best friend and grandmother to comfort her and listen to her problems. I am just in the beginning of the book and I love it!! I have had a few questions so far such as why doesn’t her mom want to move back to Wren? Or if Mary ever gets to see her father? Some things that I have in common with this girl are she and her mom are very close and she has only one fear in life and that’s of dying. I am the same way my mom is my best friend, and I love living life to the fullest. I can’t wait to start reading more so I can expand on my knowledge.

Busy!!
I took a break from reading Tears at Bedtime and decided to read a fast read called Life on the Refrigerator Door. This book is very touching and relates to a lot of real life situations that people are dealing with right as we speak. At the end of this fast read i wanted to start crying this is definetly one of my favourite reads of all time and recommend it highly!! ten out of ten for sure.
It was last week that our hockey team was in the last round of provincials and our basketball team got into regionals!! It was a very exciting week for me so I didn’t focus on trying to read. Now that the week has settled down and it’s a long weekend I can curl up on the couch with some green tea and read my book, even if I don’t get into this book I am going to try and read as much as I can maybe it will get better. I will have my next blog ready for you on Monday to let you know how the weekend of reading went.

My second book.
I just started reading the book Tears at Bedtime. I have only got into 4 chapters and I don’t think it was what I expected. It’s not really getting my attention. Right now the boy in the story is grown up and he’s talking about his family and as he grew up they never really were there for him. All the information I have is that his father is a drunk. I wonder if his dad even sees how it affects the boy and I wonder if he’s ever going to quit drinking. For his mother she sleeps around a lot! This makes me think that the boy might have gotten teased at school when he was younger. I will continue to read this book and try to understand all of my questions. Toodles.

Reading,reading,reading
It hadn’t even been five days and this book was begging me to keep reading. I finished this book within a week. As I started reading this book I kept thinking to myself if it was going to be as good as the movie but kept telling myself don’t worry about the movie just keep reading!! I didn’t really know what to expect from the characters. From the very beginning I didn’t understand why Landon had to be rude, and Jamie was such a down to earth girl but as it went on they became more close to each other and became better human beings.
When I was reading A Walk To Remember I kept going back to real life and wondering how can some people judge other people without knowing anything about them? Why do people make others lives so miserable just so then they are happy? As I got to about the end of the novel that’s when I didn’t want to put my book down! When I finally finished this paperback I came to the conclusion and realized you don’t get how much you love and care about something or someone until it’s actually gone!
