My second book.
I just started reading the book Tears at Bedtime. I have only got into 4 chapters and I don’t think it was what I expected. It’s not really getting my attention. Right now the boy in the story is grown up and he’s talking about his family and as he grew up they never really were there for him. All the information I have is that his father is a drunk. I wonder if his dad even sees how it affects the boy and I wonder if he’s ever going to quit drinking. For his mother she sleeps around a lot! This makes me think that the boy might have gotten teased at school when he was younger. I will continue to read this book and try to understand all of my questions. Toodles.

Have you picked up the book since? It is ok to skip parts in a book. So often we think that we must read the book from cover to cover. It is also ok to stop reading a book if it is not interesting. Don't hesitate to do either. I know there are some really good books coming!
ReplyDeleteYou posed a very interesting question. I too wonder if the father knows how it affects his son? You may find out that he knows first hand and that the cycle is continuing. How does one break free?
